Egg donation is when a woman undergoes a segment in the IVF process to have some of her eggs collected. The collected eggs are then donated to women or couples who are willing to pay for the eggs.
Generally, when a donor attempts to donate eggs, it takes around 2-3 months from the first negotiation from both parties.
This time frame of 2-3 months is constructed for the donor to go through medical consultations, pass tests and screening as a healthy individual along with several counseling preparations and frequent body scans.

3. Ovarian Stimulation:
- After the signing of legal obligations and thorough medical checkup, the immediate process that follows is, injecting hormones to the donor for about 10-14 days.
- This injection stimulated the ovaries into producing multiple eggs and is carefully monitored via blood tests and ultrasounds
- As per the doses of hormones, doctors ensure that results tally as per the medications and take additional necessary actions if needed.
4. Retrieval Of Egg:
- After the ovaries produce eggs and are mature, a final dose of injection is administered, nurturing the eggs for retrieval.
- The recovery period is necessary during this phase, as the body of the donor arrives to normality in a couple of days.
5. Payment:
- The egg donor receives compensation for her contribution financially. The price for the donation depends upon the negotiation performed earlier. While speaking of recovery, the donor female recovery takes anywhere from a few weeks to some months.
